Why a Redesign May be Needed
The internet is still a very new media type. The rate in which it has grown and things have progressed is phonomenal. The difference between a top quality website now and one even in 2005 is large. Because of the amount of high quality designs around now people expect a site to look good, if your site is not up to standard then it can easily put people off.
A redesign of a website may be needed for a number of reasons,
The site is outdated and needs a fresh new look,
The site has seen a growth in content,
Certain material is no longer relevant and new maerial is needed.
Redesigning is usually a pretty quick process as most of the content needed for the site is already avaliable and it is just a case of making pages look more aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
The level of redesign ultimately depends on how well designed the website is in the first place. If a site uses tables, html which is no longer valid and is not compatiable with all browsers then something more than just a facelift may be needed.
